About Brian
Brian Hamilton is a second-term city councillor, local small business owner, and passionate advocate for Thunder Bay and the Superior North region. Growing up in a middle-class family, Brian understands the challenges and dreams of everyday people. He believes that real change happens when communities work together, not just through policies made by those at the top.
Locally, Brian serves as Chair of the Thunder Bay District Social Services Administration Board and as a member of the Community Economic Development Commission. He works to tackle regional challenges like homelessness and addiction, focused on finding solutions that help the community grow and thrive.
A strong supporter of small businesses, Brian understands the obstacles they face and is committed to finding ways to help them succeed. He is also dedicated to supporting Thunder Bay’s arts and culture scene, recognizing how vital they are to the region’s identity and quality of life.
Now running as a candidate for the Ontario Liberal Party, Brian brings a fresh, people-first approach. He is committed to standing up for Thunder Bay – Superior North, always engaged, always listening, and always putting people first. Whether organizing events like the Buskers Festival or advocating for local businesses, Brian is dedicated to building a better future for everyone.
We need a champion for Thunder Bay-Superior North —someone who’s always at the table, always listening, and always putting people first.” Brian Hamilton
